Monetization is not showing in your dashboard: where the section went and what it means
Updated 18.10.2026 · Kostas Obuchow
The Monetization section is missing, the payout option disappeared, professional mode is gone. Three different situations with three different meanings — and the order in which to check them before you panic.
Short answer
A missing Monetization section is not one problem but three, and they mean different things.
It was never there. The account is outside the programme’s scope: wrong country, wrong age, professional mode off, or the section is simply not available for that account type. Nothing is broken;
it was there and disappeared. This is the one that matters: a restriction has been applied, and the section goes quiet before the email arrives;
the section is there but the tool inside is unavailable. You are in scope and have not been invited. That is the normal state for most pages.
The first thing to establish is which of the three you are in. Everything else follows from that, and the checks take about ten minutes.
Monetization was never there to begin with
Four reasons, in the order they occur:
professional mode is off on a profile. Monetization tools live inside the professional dashboard, and without the mode there is no dashboard;
the country is not covered. The programme runs in about seventy countries and requires your financial accounts to be there as well, not just you;
the age requirement — 18 or older;
you are looking on a desktop. The interest form for Content Monetization renders only in the mobile app. People conclude the feature is absent from their account when it is the browser that is the problem.
None of these produces a notification. The section is simply not drawn.
The monetization section disappeared
This is the case worth acting on. A section that existed and vanished usually means a restriction landed, and the interface reflects it before the email does.
What to look at, in this order:
Account status or Page quality. A restriction appears there first, with its type and sometimes a date;
recommendations. Monetization and recommendations are removed together more often than separately — on our own registry, 49 of 58 pages that lost monetization also lost recommendations, which is 84%;
the payout balance. Money already earned does not disappear with the section. If the balance is still visible, the account itself is intact.
Occasionally the cause is duller: the interface is being rebuilt, and the section moves between the dashboard and Meta Business Suite. Check both before concluding anything.
Monetization is there, the tool is not
You see Monetization, you open it, and Content Monetization is either absent from the list or shown without a way in. That is not a fault. The programme is invitation-only: there is no application, and the interest form states in its own text that it guarantees nothing.
Approvals arrive in waves and are not sorted by page size — in August 2026 pages with 400 followers were approved in the same month that pages with 447,000 followers and 6 million monthly views were refused. How the waves work is in how to get Facebook monetization, and what can actually be switched on is in how to turn on monetization.
The payout option is missing
A separate complaint with a separate cause. The payout section appears once there is something to pay out and a payout account exists. If it is missing:
the payout account was never completed — legal name as on your ID, date of birth, address, tax details;
the name does not match. A mismatch between the account holder and the document is the most common reason payouts never leave;
details were changed recently. Changing payout details freezes the account for five days by design;
the threshold has not been reached, so there is nothing to show.
Why monetization is not showing: what to check
Step
Where
What it tells you
1
Professional mode on the profile
whether a dashboard exists at all
2
Account status / Page quality
whether a restriction is in place
3
The mobile app, not the browser
whether the interest form renders
4
Meta Business Suite → the Page
whether the section moved rather than vanished
5
Payout balance and payout account
whether money and details are intact
6
Country and age
whether the account is in scope at all
Ten minutes, and the answer is one of the three cases at the top.
What does not fix it
Reinstalling the app. The section is drawn from the server, not from the client;
creating a second page and moving content there. If the cause is account-level, it travels;
changing the country in settings. This is the worst of the three: the programme checks where your financial accounts are, and a mismatch between declared country and payment details is itself a problem. “Monetization country change” is a popular search and a reliable way to lose the account;
waiting quietly. A restriction is lifted after its cause is removed, not after a period of silence.

The network runs about 250 pages in 25 languages. Across the monetized pages the average is $0.024 per thousand views, and $0.08 to $0.33 per thousand qualified views — the ones Meta counts, averaging $0.185. The best single page-month was $21,216 and the best day $4,163. These are measurements, not a promise: the rate follows language, market and format. Full breakdown in RPM by country.
How we help
You have read what a missing section means. If the answer turns out to be the country — nothing in the interface will fix that, and the only route left is a page that already holds the invitation, in a market where a thousand views is worth several times more.
Your videos and photos go out on the network's pages and we split the revenue. The invitation, the eligible country and the payout account stop being your problem — the pages and the payouts are on us. We pick the language and the market that fit your content, and we check every file for originality risk before it is published. The rights to your material stay with you.
You monetize on your own page and we set it up. If you would rather own the asset and keep all of the revenue, we prepare the page, help with the payout details and hand over a plan of what to publish and when.
Write to us with a link to your channel or page: we will say which languages your material makes sense in and roughly what it would return.
The Monetization tab was there yesterday and today it is gone. No email, no notification.

Check Account status first — a restriction shows up in the interface before the email arrives, and the two can be days apart. If the status is clean, open Meta Business Suite: the section moves between the dashboard and Business Suite during interface changes more often than people expect. And look at the payout balance: if the money is still there, the account is intact and the problem is a display one.
Should I change my country in settings to get into the programme?
August 2026
No. The programme checks where your financial accounts are, not what is written in the profile, and a mismatch between the declared country and the payment details is itself grounds for a problem. If the country is the blocker, the honest options are a page owned by someone in a covered country, or brand deals, which are not tied to any list.
